Since ordering my Circle Lord I feel confident to quilt custom designs I never dreamed of stitching before! I can create a simple design, a complex design or, by combining designs, a design I create all on my own! How fun to be able to produce perfectly executed designs with my own two hands, my Lenni, and my Circle Lord. I have the up-front system and it is so delightful to see the designs coming together!!! The Circle Lord has taken me to a whole new dimension in quilting! Thank you for offering such a superior product! <dd class="comment-body" id="Blog1_cmt-4375132838971733379">Okay, Michael - here is my "two cents"...... I have been gathering my Circle Lord Templates and Boards for the past three years. Because Michael and Kay have set up a wonderful financing plan to purchase these “toys”, it has made my “Circle Lord addiction” affordable – arrghhh!! The reason I keep adding to my Circle Lord stash – is that these well-designed boards/templates, make a less than “stellar” quilter look like a “quilting queen”! At first use, I stuck with quick and easy, but after taking Deb Levy’s Circle Lord classes on MQR and being part of the first Circle Lord Challenge, I realized that these designs could be the “bones” for some awesome quilting embellishment! Sorry this goes over the 100 word limit – but I have to say I am grateful and I LOVE MY CIRCLE LORD -product AND service! Quilting for my self(ishness) on an APQS Freedom. <dd class="comment-body" id="Blog1_cmt-8780513593551906304">I love the pattern boards, and many of the tracing designs. The Circle Lord products are probably the most well thought out designs on the market in terms of both design and pure ease of use. A lot of attention to detail has gone into how designs stitch out, for minimal backtracking and less need to tie off than many of the competitor products, and no one can touch Circle Lord for supplemental and educational materials! From the very beginning, it improved my quilting and helped my business expand. Circle Lord’s customer service is second to none; extending past quick and concise help to custom designs, or, in my case, even offering parts to repair “the competition”. Whether it is creating new and innovative designs like Swirlz and Sakura giant templates, or making traditional crosshatching and feather wreaths simple and consistent for quilters of any skill level, Circle Lord is the must-have accessory for any longarm quilting machine. I love my K’ching boards, not sure how I ever lived without them. So simple to use and makes quilting a breeze. Customers love the patterns and think I have worked so hard when in fact it couldn’t be easier. My 11 Granddaughter even quilted her first quilt with them with very little help. She was so proud. I have using my CL templates for more than 6 years. When I hurt my back they were the only way I could quilt, so what more can I say than I love my Circle Lord. I first bought the Circle Lord when I found out how difficult it was to quilt on a long-arm when you can't draw, or follow a line. I wanted to make quilts people would be proud to own, but it wasn't happening. I first bought the Giant Swirls, and life changed. My quilts turned out so well, my family was vying over who should get them. Today, I tried doing a pantograph again - it still is as terrible as it was 4 years ago. I will be using Circle Lord templates for a long, long time. These are truly excellent products, and I plan on taking classes this year at MQS to learn how to do more with them. He arrived at my home about the same time as my new longarm quilting machine. I came to think so much of him that I had a special house built for him that’s situated under my longarm, so he’s never far away. Not wanting him to feel crowded, I even had extra rooms built for his comfort. You see, when I first tried quilting on my new machine, I discovered that I needed help--a LOT of help--and Circle Lord came to my rescue. And he has so unselfishly let me take all the credit for the beautiful work he has helped me perform. I depend on him for accurate designs and ease of quilting-–and quick money. Although he takes no money, he likes to be surrounded by those he loves, so I’m always excited to learn about the arrival of other family members who may come to live with him. There is no doubt that his family is expanding and I’m welcoming them to fill up the rooms in his home. I own an APQS Millennium and I quilt for myself and others. It is so easy to use and center! 8. There is now an “up-front stylus”! 7. The pattern designs are endless! 6. New accessories & templates are always coming! 5. The CL customer service is FANTASTIC! 4. It is lightweight & made of pretty colors! 3. It is always happy to help me around the house! 2. It doesn’t make me gain weight like chocolate! And the #1 reason I LOVE my Circle Lord is: 1. It makes me a better quilter! I mostly quilt for myself and close friends and family – although over the last 10 years, I have taken in a couple of commissioned quilts. I used to work in a shop on a Gammill, but then I went to an APQS and haven’t looked back! I have an Ultimate I and I don’t use a stitch regulator, I imagine a lot of things would be easier with an SR, but with accessories like the Circle Lord (which allows me to stitch so smoothly) I haven’t missed it! I am new to the Circle Lord but fell in love at first sight! Even my husband has decided to come into the studio and quilt with me! I mostly quilt for myself and have a few customers, but know that quilting is becoming better and better with this tool and I hope to open myselt to more quilting for others! I bought my APQS Millenium in the spring of 2009. With very little knowledge about longarm quilting and even less about running a business, I decided to buy the Circle Lord system and several of the giant templates. Customers came running! They loved the beautiful designs, the quick turnaround, and the reasonable pricing. I loved that I could start quilting for customers right away, with no learning curve, and perfect results - every time. I now have the confidence to do custom work and of course, the Circle Lord small templates will play a front and center role in my custom work - now and well into the future. Thank you Circle Lord! <dd class="comment-body" id="Blog1_cmt-3881712088711985046">rom the first time I saw the Circlelord demonstrated at “Innovations” 6 or 7 years ago, I was fascinated by the spectacular quilting that could be done with seemingly, very little effort! I didn’t buy it initially, though, but the images of the beautiful quilts stayed with me, and after owning my long arm for about two years, I purchased my Circlelord. Since then, I have acquired additional templates and “K’ching” boards. They make things that look so hard really easy to do. Designs like feathered wreaths and cable and rope borders can now be done by beginning quilters. As someone who really struggled with custom quilting, this is a huge advantage. You can produce great custom work without spending years of your life practicing free hand feathers! All that practice time gets translated into production time, so these tools really contribute to the bottom line of an efficient quilting business. The product itself is great, but the best thing about buying a Circlelord is the people that stand behind it. Michael and Kay provide excellent customer service – always just an e-mail or a phone call away to answer any questions you might have and always working on the next great design. My only regret is that I didn’t buy my Circlelord at the same time I purchased my quilting machine. If brand new quilters are reading this, don’t make the same mistake I did, buy one now! Additionally, it allows me to QUICKLY and VERY CREATIVELY produce custom quilts, whether the quilts are for customers, competitions/challenges or Quilts of Valor for injured soldiers. Before my quilting was OK but now I get comments like WOW!, BEAUTIFUL!, FANTASTIC! Between such a great product and superior customer service, Circle Lord ROCKS! Although I have been quilting for years on a shortarm, I got my APQS Millenium about 5 months ago. Soon after, I bought the Circle Lord (and I love the giant templates). To be begin with, I shall NEVER let it go. I LOVE MY CIRCLE LORD. Someone told me one time that I was a “perfectionist”. Well, the Circle Lord lets me be just that. It lets me do all kinds of thing ACCURATELY. No wiggles or squiggles, just lines of sewing where they are meant to be. My Circle Lord lets me use my imagination. Just because the directions say it does this, doesn’t necessarily make it so. You can do all kinds of different things with the disks. I have used three different discs on one quilt. You don’t have to be smart or talented as Michael’s instructions are sooo easy to follow. Woops, I think I am already over my 100 words and I have hardly begun to give you all the reasons why I love my Circle Lord. I have had my APQS Millennium since about 2003 but didn’t start using the Circle Lord until 2007. I wish I had had it earlier. I don’t quilt as a business, but quilt just because I love it. <dd class="comment-body" id="Blog1_cmt-8947359738037879374">"Why I Love My Circlelord" My machine is an APQS Millenium purchased in October 2005. My name is Marilyn Deck, resident of NW Ohio and I also qualify for the "old lady" category. I quilt for myself and a couple of friends, who come and stay for a couple of days. My artistic abilities are relatively nonexistant. My Circlelord products make my quilts look like I might possibly know what I am doing. Piecing is realtively easy. Longarm quilting is challenging. In fact, I receive compliments on my quilting and most of it is with Circlelord. I probably would have sold my machine had I not purchased Circlelord products. For me, Circlelord makes a frustrating process become a great deal of fun and I am so pleased with the results. My vices are: (1) Circlelord products and (2) more Circlelord products. My very generous children support my Circlelord fix every Christmas. Keeps me busy, and supplies then with quilts. The Circlelord is such "fun" Michael, thanks for adding this and I am making out my purchase list. That has been the best investment I could've made. The King size boards are a breeze to use and make any quilt look beautiful. I recently purchased the up-front stylus and find it to be very user friendly. It's so much better to be able to work the templates from the front. The service provided is outstanding. Mostly I quilt for myself, but have 2 renters who became overnight success stories with the quality of the quilts they are now producing. It has been several years since my first purchase for my Mille Longarm, and I continue to purchase more as I'm able. Customer service is prompt, regardless of my question. Circle Lord has led the way to many other pattern boards. The greatest compliment is that of imitation. Great job Michael and Kay. Whether you are looking for a traditional or modern look, the Circle Lord makes uniformity and symmetry achievable. The CL templates can be the ‘stars’ of the quilting design, or they can be the ‘bones’ that allow you to add freehand motifs, fills and stencils to create complex designs. Circle Lord designs can be used in blocks, sashings, and borders. The many possibilities are limited ONLY by your imagination. Great customer service! Donna James, Nelson, BC. It has given me confidence to try new quilting designs because the Circle Lord results always look well executed. There is a good assortment of design templates—many with multiple design options on one template. The templates with the base unit’s adjustability make it easy to place individual designs just where the quilter wants it. Long templates are quick and easy to do. I like the flexibility of using the individual templates either on the back of the machine table or on the front of the machine. The Circle Lord has increased the number of quilts I get completed. Granted, I had been thinking about making the change. So to get the ball rolling quickly I ordered the Circle Lord products so I could produce beautiful and accurate work immediately as well as offering something different from the other area quilters.
